Rant: SJM

    Hey people, most of us know Sarah Janet Maas. You might recognize A Court of Thorns and Roses or Thorne of Glass if needed. She has a large fandom but also many haters. They say her books are unrealistic and cliché, which I agree with. The story line of each of her books is almost the same at times, and her characters can get very annoying. I wouldn't call myself her hater but at the same time, I kind of like her. For example, her stories are sooo cliché. But that's what keeps me reading. I don't know what is in her books, but they are addicting. We just have to suck it up and understand this is complete fantasy trash but great entertainment. Something like Wattpad. It's so easy to guess the plot in Wattpad, but then WHY do we keep reading it. But to be honest. Crescent City was good. It was different and new. I've never read something like it where it is kind of fantasy but then sci-fi. And the way I gasped, screamed, and freaked out at the ending of CC2. For once, I was excited to see Feyre again and never thought SJM would ever do a crossover-type book. Like I said, addicting. So basically, I am biased toward CC1 and CC2, but everything I say goes for both ACOTAR and TOG. Her books reminded me of watching reality TV. Stupid but so entertaining. As a fantasy novel, her books are ehhhhh but as entertainment her books are decent. SO when reading SJM you need to know what you really want when going into her books.
