Review: Killjoy by Holly Jackson (No Spoilers)
Hey! Recently I read the novella Killjoy by Holly Jackson. This book is a prequel to the well-known A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series (AGGGTM). This book is about Pip and her friends having a murder mystery party. Pip and her friends all get together to solve the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy.
I actually really liked this book and would give it 4/5 stars ⭐. After finishing the AGGGTM series I definitely wanted to see more of Pip and Ravi. They were such unforgettable characters, and even after three whole books of them, I couldn't get enough of them. But since this happens before the event of the first book in the original series, you should consider that you won't see much of Ravi.
Additionally, I would definitely recommend reading the AGGGTM series BEFORE you read Killjoy, or at least the first book in the trilogy. You would enjoy and understand this novella so much more with the context from the book.
But hey, even if this book was really short, I am happy knowing that I got more of Pip and her story and will be getting more soon. If you didn't know, as of when this was published, Holly Jackson is making a show for the AGGGTM series! I am so excited and the castings (so far) are great. I know this isn't really part of the review, but I just had to put it in there.
I hope you read this book! Happy Reading! 💗📚
