Summer 2023 Recommendations

     Heyy, what's up! Summer is in full swing, so I wanted to share my favorite books to read over the summer!

    Nothing is more aesthetic than reading on the beach. Here are some beachy recommendations. 

- The Summer I Turned Pretty series by Jenny Han 

I liked this book enough to review it, so you can go check that out. This book is about this girl (Belly) and her family going to this beach/beach house every summer to meet these people who are her family's close friends. This book contains a love triangle and some interesting drama but it is still good. The beachy vibes of this book make it perfect for reading on the beach. 

- Beach Read by Emily Henry

I haven't actually read this book but by the name of this book, you might just guess that this book takes place in a beachy/vacation setting. Just by summary, this book is about two writers named Augustus and January who have this big rivalry and the books they write are complete opposites. But they both have writer's block, so they decide to write a book opposite of what they usually write. They also have to live next to each other I don't really know. But a lot of people enjoyed it so I'm gonna assume it's pretty good.

- The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L Walther 

This book I have read and absolutely loved it. In this book, Meredith's (the main character) sister died the year before and Meredith is still coping with her death. But now she has to go to Martha's Vineyard like she does every summer and her whole family, including the extended family. But this time there is a wedding. Her cousin's wedding. And basically, her family plays this game called Assassin which her sister was really good at so she hopes to almost honor her sister's memory by winning and while doing that she teams up with this groomsman. This book is so funny and the characters have so much depth. It was well written and the plot was great! I definitely recommend it. 

Also just for the sake of how long this is going to be. All of Emily Henry's books are all vacation or beach themed and are all very recommended so you can just mentally add those to this very short list.
